Pricing questions
How much does FlashCut cost?
FlashCut is free for 1 hour of footage and 1 video export per 14 days. Starter is $29 a month for 4 hours and 10 exports. Pro is $69 a month for 10 hours and 25 exports. Studio is $199 a month for 30 hours and 60 exports.
What happens if I go over my footage limit?
Paid plans are never blocked. Footage past your monthly cap is billed at $11.99 per analyzed hour, by the minute. The free tier is a hard stop: once you reach its 1 hour per 14 days, upgrade to keep uploading.
What counts toward my footage limit?
The footage limit counts the minutes of video you upload and FlashCut analyzes. Every plan includes AI rough cuts, transcripts, captions and chat editing. Plans also differ in video exports and AI narrative rounds: 1 per 14 days on Free, 5 a month on Starter, unlimited on Pro and Studio. Client review links are included on Pro and Studio. Free and Starter allow 2 timelines per project, Pro 5 and Studio 20.
What counts as a video export?
A video export is a rendered MP4 of your edit. Each distinct version counts once, and downloading an identical version again is free. Any change to the timeline, even a two-second trim, makes a new version. Premiere Pro XML, FCPXML and SRT exports do not use your video-export allowance.
Can I change or cancel my plan?
Yes. Change or cancel your plan any time from the billing portal in Settings. The free tier gives you 1 hour of footage and 1 video export per 14 days.
Which export formats are available?
FlashCut exports Adobe Premiere Pro XML, FCPXML, a rendered MP4 and SRT captions. Video exports are capped per plan: 1 per 14 days on Free, 10 a month on Starter, 25 on Pro and 60 on Studio. FlashCut does not export to Avid today. See every export format.
How does the price compare?
FlashCut prices by hours of footage: a free tier, then $29, $69 or $199 a month. Eddie AI sells credits with no subscription, per its homepage. The comparison pages set FlashCut’s plans beside what Eddie AI and Descript state publicly. Compare FlashCut vs Descript and FlashCut vs Eddie AI.
